If rpm is building it from scratch I'd do that. Custom will be a better fit because they can work around your skid.

Excuse my ignorance but what would be the benefit of this? Is it basically for LT guys? Strengthening the chassis?

That's a great point. I'll have to hit up rPM to see what kind of price they would be willing to work out for a custom pipe or to modify my y pipe if possible.

I never worked with rpm before, but the shops in my area won't work on removing cats since it is emissions stuff. For my stuff I've always had to go online and buy mandrel bent pipe and make my own custom puzzle.

Kirk radiator did mine, I think it was about 80 bucks, but he did it at 4am before the shop officially opened for cash so I can't guarantee that price. Took about an hour and I was more than pleased with the results.

$80 is a hell of a lot cheaper than a URD $500 y pipe that's not even smog legal. I don't hardly get above 2,000rpm anyways on the street. The gains with the URD y are at high rpm/redline. And then again it's only good for a few ponies, nothing major

Chris, do you have pics of your relocation? I glimpsed at your build but didn't spot any. Did you wrap yours with exhaust wrap? Since it'll be sitting closer to the tranny...

yes they did my y pipe relocation, no I'm pretty sure it wasn't mandrel tube, $80 was because he did it on his own time. I got off work at 3am back in those days and he showed up to his at 4am, shop didnt officially open until 6 iirc. That said i doubt it would be more than 150 even on shop time. No pics, didnt wrap it, I went around the back of the transmission. Cut the flange off the y, moved that back a little, turned it 90 degrees, and extended the passenger side with a short piece. All in all I am very happy with it, and have had no problems with it since.

all they did was change the engine, new front end and back end body panels and reworked the interior. if they didnt change the cab i kinda doubt they changed the frame.
