How tricky is it to calibrate an ultragauge?

I think I would rather have the normal gauge just so the information would be up all the time and I could use my phone for music and other things like that... But that's just me.

I think it has potential and like the idea of not having to run the cable. Check it out:

I wish this had come out a little earlier (before I did the group buy).

Quick question, does anyone know if the 2nd gen Manual Transmissions have a temp gauge? that would help me determine which ultra gauge to get. thanks

I'm leaning towards the Ultragauge because of the audible warnings, specifically a high coolant temp. Any issues setting up the alarms?

What would be the benefit of these over using Torque and a bluetooth sender?

Alarms are very easy to set. I set two for transmission temp and they work as intended.

I like my scangauge. I paid $80 for a new one in the box off Craigslist. Is small enough to sit on the top of my steering column. I use the rpm, water temp, mpg, and volts.

Convenience. Once installed you don't have to fiddle with setting up the phone and losing connectivity. Plus, if the wife or daughters drive my truck ...
