Are the light housings going to look like the single pics you posted with the 6 screws on the face or are they going to be smooth like the pic you posted showing the side of the housing? Hope these makes sense.

What are the colored lenses for?

I might be in for a pair of floods. Anyone know how to mount them on the cowl by the pillars?

 

They are to change the color of the light or in the case of the solid colors, to block the light.

 

Check out this thread...examples of many brackets to mount the pods by the cowl/pillar.

I live 2 hrs north of Sactown. I've been wanting to get some flush mount pods with bright Osram chips to put in my rear bumper. I'd like to avoid $13.50 shipping. Where would I have to drive for local pick up and how do you take payment if local is not an option? Wiring harness included?

 

I'm not in a hurry, so if we can get 20 and save a few dollars, that would be ok with me.

Still interested. Read back on the posts and haven't heard back yet.... Do we have a lumen output on these yet? And if they use CREE or Epistar LEDs?

 

I'll see if flush pods can be included in the deal. Local pickup would be in Napa and payment would be through PayPal when the GB closes.

These are OSRAM LEDs. They are brighter and more energy efficient than CREE and made in Germany. I only use OSAM and CREE when I can't use the latter. I run away from Epistar.

Yea, anythimg with Epistar is a fail. Cree was top of the line until Osrams came out, now Osrams have the top quality and lumen output.

 

Still new to lights, sorry for the nooby question, but are these covers like "strongly reccommended" if I do off-roading or can these films wash off easily w/o becoming tinted.

 

You don't really need them unless you want a different color. I'd maybe run a clear cover if it's a place that you expect it to be exposed to a constant hard flying objects.

 

I heard Amber covers work good in the snow so I got some for my pods I have on my front trail gear bumper. Can't really tell a difference
