If that doesn't work take it to a machine shop, they can bore the axle out, I had to put mine on my lathe and do it, stubborn

X2 on omf. You can pick any wheel and they will hook it up with some rings to go with it. But they are $$$ my 5 rings and rock domes were 750$ but I got them for 300$ shipped cause they already had them made and were sitting forever. Deffenilty different style. But I also x2 on the Walker Evans and xd enduros. If I didn't get the rings I would have gone with either one for my next set

    ...too much shit to list.

Sorry I'm late back to the party. Duty calls sometimes.

The theory behind it is called off-tracking. The amount of off-tracking is defined as the delta between the inside turning radius of the front tire and the inside turning radius of the rear tire. The sharper the turn and the longer the wheelbase, the larger the off-tracking. Picture the top view of a vehicle turning. The rear wheels do not follow the same path as the front wheels. The rear wheels follow a shorter path because the turning radius on the rear wheels is less than the front. Using a rear axle that is slightly narrower reduces the overall off-tracking without any perceivable wonkey handling differences.

And comparing a mustang to a long travel truck? While you're checking track width on that mustang, maybe check to see if it has sway bars.

Im about to throw my TC UCA together. It says to grease that bushing before inserting the sleeve. I have a moly and non moly grease. Which one should I use. Or does it even matter.

Lithium based moly. Anything else increases deterioration of poly bushings.

Hey if I add the other washer in there it leaves a decent size gap between the gusset and the tower. But if it set it up like this it sits pretty flush. Is there going to be any issues setting it up like this?

It's supposed to be ran without the outside washer, says so in the instructions too BTW

Think of it this way. The gusset is now your washer.

May be I should look at the instructions then. Thanks, time to burn them in.

Edit: I see what your saying. Found the instructions.

Mine was burned in while it was assembled like this. Keeps everything lined up nicely.

Jeff, I am probably going to wait for a good deal on a Tundra axle, since they have the right bolt pattern, brakes, etc.. I dont make a lot of power with my 4 cylinders of fury either. If I destroy it then its fab housing time but I think I will be fine with the way I drive.
