So while changing my oil last week I noticed the pass diff was wet where the half shaft comes out. I did some quick searching and was wondering if anybody here could confirm my fear. Diff seal? Both sides look the same.

So it should be fine for a little longer? I've just never noticed it that wet before. Could it be water pushing out from getting dunked?

 

Absolutely is. I had the dealer do mine after I messed up the alignment when I installed the ECGS seal with Billy. They're super tricky to get straight. I think I paid all the money to do it though (~$400) but I didn't want to tear it apart to get it wrong again. Hasn't leaked since, but I still have an obnoxious front end noise. I really need to get unlazy and swap my snows on and rule out tires and brakes once and for all.

 

Thanks. Good to have a rough estimate on cost. I'll probably be bringing it to the dealer to have done at some point.

NEA CCS. I'd recommend looking into the Arc though. That one allows a standard BCG

Yeah the NEA is like $300, my LWRC was $120. It was pretty easy for me to choose. Plus, the LWRC gives a better cheek weld

Same here. At Reagan right now on my way to wild, wonderful west by God Virginia. Fortunately I made my flight this time since it was a 530am flight and not a stupid 9am flight.

 

It is usually from a clogged vent, mud chewing at the seal or a off-road abuse. Mine usually leaks a little after off camber stuff or if the front end was bouncing around a lot. Yours appears to be a continuing leak unless you just went off-road. A little gear oil looks like a lot when it leaks. I would think about dropping the skid and checking the levels/top
It off a bit until you have time to replace it.
