    the only problem I see on long beds, is that the longer length scrapes the tail when going up some hills or you bottom out the tail depending on angle that you don't get with the short bed.

    I think the distance added is in front of the rear wheels, longer wheelbase, so departure angle I would guess is unchanged. Break over is what it affects.
