I just ordered an ome 3" lift with dakar leaf packs, and was wondering if i will be able to get my alignment right still running the stock uca's . I plan on getting the total chaos uniball uca's down the road in a couple moths but don't have the funds to get them right now.

I would wait on the lift until you got them if you are already wanting to get them... No reason to have to be under there more than once and only have to pay for one alignment

Unless you do the install yourself... It's cheaper to do it all at once. One alignment, one install labor fee. Then you don't have to worry about whether your truck will align right or not.

    What they said!

I thought 2" would not need uca's, i was wrong and its going to not only cost me my money for the uca's and time to install i ran long enough without the uca's im burning up my tires. But i want bigger one's so maybe its just a scam! Btw i installed my lift solo with hand tools in my driveway.

I was under the impression that if the lift is under 3 inches you do not need the UCA's to get the truck in alignment. Or atleast I thought that is what I have read in reading various threads about lifts. :notsure:

Each truck is different.. And also depends on what specs you are looking to get.. But what it should say is some don't need uca not all don't need them.. I put uca on same time I put lift on and it was right at factory spec..doubtful I could have done that with stock ucas

The more I read the I now see the benefit of getting the UCA with the lift. Some of the sites selling the lifts say they arent needed, but it appears it is best to get new UCA's if you are lifting the truck for best alignment and to avoid other wear issues down the road.

From what I've seen sticking around 2" is okay and anything above that is literally 50/50 on aftermarket UCAs.

Hey guys, I posted this in another thread. No response...

"Alright, I'm starting my lift tomorrow night after work. I've done this before but it's been a couple of years now...

Every video or write up I can find just says something like "assemble washers and bushings in correct order", without a description of said order.

Since I'm going to leave the 5100's with stock coils assembled when I remove them, I won't have anything to go by.

Anyway, please tell me if I have this correct:

Pretty sure I got it. Please put my mind at ease! :D"

Just bought the full OME lift from DSM. Got the 90000s & 885s for front, full dakars and 60091 shocks for rear. Going to install on my 2010 Doublecab 4x4 in a few days once tires & wheels arrive (16" FN 5-Stars in matte black on 265/75/16 KO2s). I am a little concerned with how much rake I'll get after seeing the dakars in person. Would adding 1/4" top plate spacers get me pretty close to level with this setup?
