hello Tacoma world, I have a 108" steel CB antenna. Works great when I'm not moving. It's mounted on the right front bumper with a spring....when I'm going at highway speeds its bends like no other and shakes vigorously. When I PTT I get antenna warning. I really want my CB to work on the highway not just on the trails. What do I do?

Mount it in back and run a string/fishing line to the top from the front end of the bed.

Replace that steel antenna with a 4-foot K40 or Firestick.

    Otherwise, just live with it.

You need some kind of non metallic bracket between the antenna and body, like the top of the core support, to keep the antenna at a stable distance from the body. As the antenna gets closer to, or farther away from the body the swr setting will change drastically.
