I am now looking at 10 to 12 weeks minimum could be mid December to Early January for my Red DCSB 4X4 - Silver Sport DCSB 4x4 loaded in 8 weeks maybe. My dealer has 20 plus orders turned in (including my red ) - multiply that by 300 or 400 other large sale dealers with a similar number of orders. Plus the requirements of another 1000 or so dealers - This gives you an idea of the number of trucks they need to produce just to keep up with demand. Toyota is so far behind on these orders -

NO seats have leather surfaces any more. Its all cheap leather on seating areas covered in Vinyl. Leather conditioner is a waste of money on anything but really high end vehicles that still use leather hide which is porous and can take saddle soaps and conditioners

Which is also why I won't buy leather and instead use custom fitted leatherette covers. AutoAnything has CoverKing leatherette for $200
    Cabelas has them for $187

Ordered/placed a down-payment for a 16 TRD Sport M/T, coming from a 16 WRX. Test drove the 16 TRD off road Auto, but I want to test drive a M/T before I fully commit to my order.

Eureka California. Ordered a White 2016 TRD Off Road Access cab 6 Cyl, 6 speed Auto on Monday 10/12/15. Delivery will be mid December into January 2016 possibly., Will enjoy my 02 SR5 4x4 Xtra cab 2.7/manual T for a couple more months. She's been a tremendous truck, and has been perfect pulling my 2500# Chalet popup travel trailer.
Now I'm 60+ and want a new truck; buys me a bit more power, lots of toys , power windows, (LOL) easy driving (love manual, but I'm still driving my 68 FJ40, since 1970, and 2011 Subaru Outback with manual trannies, they will suffice for my shifting desires....

Im excited, looking forward to receiving my new truck, but too happy to have something to look forward to!!! Will put a shell on it, add trailer break controller, and possibly Firestone rear suspension airbags like my 02; one of the best accessories I've ever added.

I initially wanted the manual, but can NOT get with the access cab in the Off Road, just the sport. So, went with the auto. I found the #1 gear in the Manual to be very much a 'granny' gear, and truly can NOT start out in #2 gear. Im SURE they are BOTH excellent choices. ENJOY!!!! - Chip

9-12 put $500 down for a sport,ac with P&T. Did not hear anything for 2 weeks, called. Did you order it? what is the build date? they said they would have that info the 1st week in oct. Called again, said they are waiting on that info. 10-12 got my deposit back. No biggie, going to step back and wait a while and find another dealer.

I've read that the "42" in the temp serial number indicates production in week, which should be week of 10/19. That would mesh with your location date. I'm guessing, but I decipher your Activity Status as "Estimated Production Week" and BC meaning Baja California.

I hear ya! My activity status is different, I'm assuming it means estimated production day since it was on a Thursday. I asked my dealer on the 9th if the status changed, they said no. I'm gonna ask them again since its a new week.

Dealer contacted me and gave me a VIN and build date of 11/16. Now the hard part begins...

That is a temp serial number. The real VIN wont have a letter in the last 6 digits.

I picked it up monday 10/12/15. I already really liked the way it looked from the pictures. In person is even better.

She drives great. The manual transmission is pretty smooth for a truck (compared to my fiances 6spd in her '14 Wrangler). Still getting used to the clutch since it is completely different from my previous car was a '12 Audi S4 with a 6spd.

I have driven her only 100 miles so far so I am still getting acquainted.

My initial impressions after 100 miles:
    -Looks way better in person
-I am 6'4 and have a little headroom to spare with the sunroof
-The tonneau cover looks good and seems to sit properly on the bed. It is heavier than I expected but is actually pretty easy to remove if I need to load the bed up
-Manual transmission and clutch are smooth, I need to get used to downshifting more often to get back into the power band when accelerating after a slowdown in traffic. My S4 had a supercharger and had good pickup in 6th gear at 15 miles per hour. This is expected because it is a truck.
-While I have not opened her up at all (trying to keep the rpms under 3k to break her in properly), she has alot more balls than people are giving her credit for at lower RPMs. This may be due to the Manual Transmission instead of the Auto. I am looking forward to being able to open her up in another few weeks to see what she can really do.
-Gas Mileage for the first hundred miles (Mixed highway and street driving with lots of traffic on long island) is pretty good based only on the computer read out (The read out for the tank says 17.6mpg but every trip i have had has been 19mpg or better per the trip calculator.) I will be logging my mileage and fuel consumption using the "My Cars" app to see my actual mileage. Should fill the tank at some point next week.
-I like the interior alot so far. My fiance is ecstatic that I now have a car with cup holders. She had half a cup holder in my Audi. There are a total of 12 cup holders in the MT Tacoma (looks like there could be 14 with the AT). Plenty of storage in the center console though I do not like the layout of the glove compartment. It feels really cramped. I also am happy there are no buttons on the center console. My dog used to turn off my traction control a few times every time he was in my car.
-The Media Control Center is pretty intuitive. I wish the system was louder (i love cruising with my Hard Rock/Metal blasting). The eco app is pretty cool (though only time will tell how accurate it is), but it gives you an idea how your driving style is affecting your fuel efficiency.
-I can take a look at my oil! This is such a little thing but my audi did not have an oil dipstick so I could not check my oil manually.
