hello yall. want to see if anyone can help me or point me in the right direction. opinions welcome too. planning to buy the JBA Part #:2035S-3JT shortie headers that are CARB legal for me here in san diego CA.
1st: how hard are these to install. i am mechanically capable but wanting opinions or help from someone that has done this job.
2nd: is this a good upgrade for this truck?

    thanks

little better performance, maybe some better torque. i know im not gonna get dramatic change such as a supercharger would offer, but maybe free some hp/tq up. my last vehicle was a 2000 t4r 4x4 fully built with trd supercharger and urd goodies. that worked well. im new to the tacomas with the 4.0. any suggestions?
also one thing that bugs the shat out of me is the noisy engine or tick it makes under a small load or idling when warm which ive read is "Normal".

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
You will have to cut the cats off of the exhaust manifold and weld them to the new headers. Did it to mine, but dropped $200 to have them tig welded.

not concerned with that, i have connects for that to get the tig welding done for free. but is the work worth it and is it very hard to do the job?
