thats the best way to learn, throw on some crap clothes and crawl under there! you will see the oil pan directly below the engine. it is black, and sticks down about 3" in a 3x6 rectangle (dims from memory, dont quote me!). it has a 14mm bolt, this is the oil drain bolt.

All I ever use is 4.78 liters. That equals one 3.78 liter jug and a single 1 liter bottle. This usually puts it @ 80% on the dipstick - well within the recommended zone.

Jiffy Lube? Might as well drive it into a brick wall.

If you want to ruin your truck go to jiffy lube. The people who work there don't know jack and they think they can pull a fast one on you. My friend took his car there once he had a cold air intake on it. The employee comes out with this large old dirty filter and tells him that his air filter is dirty and it needs to be changed. He tells him do I look that stupid to you? Thats not my filter! He then proceeds to tell them to not do anything and he takes the car. Save yourself a headache and take it to the dealer or do it yourself.

You can buy a flexible "extender" that you can attach to the valve stem on the spare. Tuck it up out of the way, but someplace you can reach it when you need to. Then just attach your compressor to that & you can keep the tire inflated in place.

I think I got mine at AutoZone. The inflation extender is kind of an RV thing, but for some reason they had it.

You might also be able to use the back side of a "dually" chuck and reach up there, but I think the extender is a better idea.

Do you check it after you start it and let it circulate? You have to include extra for the filter...

And what is wrong with that???

At least I can maintain my truck myself and know better than to take it to a Jiffy Lube ;) I also do all the maintenance on my quads too.

    HA!

To make matters worse you have a girl telling you she will teach you! Double HA!

But seriously whatever it takes to learn, do it. It's not hard at all and you'll save some $. Just don't tell anyone that a girl had to teach you how to change your oil ;)

Good question. I've seen so many news investigations on them that you would think people would get it but then your average person has no clue what's going on in this country so it's not really surprising.

Now, I'm not saying they can't improve but they've been bad for a long time, including when they forgot to put oil in one of my father's business trucks 20+ years ago. Yes, they bought him a new truck after some legal wrangling.
