Lucky for me, I had laughed when she asked to borrow it so she was driving her own car.

Jokes aside, it was very minor and her and her car are both fine.

Moral of the story: trust nobody!

Glad to hear she is ok. Does she get rear ended often?

It'd be fine to get the truck broken in... good reason to get some beefier METAL rear bumper. I can't wait till someone makes a nice one for the 2016. The stock bumper feels like its ready to fall off TBH.

We live in Philly, wife has been rear ended more times than I care to count.. oh wait a minute that was too much sharing! Seriously tho we've both been hit in the back side by folks tap tap taping away on their cells while driving. One time roads were wet I was stopped someone was turning left... saw a lady coming up on me looking at her cell... glances up, slams on breaks bald tires on wet road, slow motion slide I take foot off brake and turn the wheel to the side of road BAM. Wife had it happen 3X in her Honda Civic. Why we decided to go with larger vehicles. They are easier to see and harder when you hit them.

The Entune thingy took me some getting used to so I wasn't distracted while driving.

Cant see why anyone would text while driving that's fucking stupid. There should be a law with mandatory loss of license AND vehicle for folks that get in accidents while texting. They are driving a lethal weapon and driving while texting the same as driving while intoxicated, just a different method of intoxication is how I see it.

A lot of young people dont ever call/TALK on phone, they always text and it doesn't seem to matter that they are in a car that can KILL someone and even themselves. I don't get it.

I think my wife looks HOT behind the wheel of my Taco! I get horny and want to throw her down in the pickup bed. I'd probably look like Jethro with my feet hanging out the back hahahaha

Now, if you let her use your truck she likely wouldnt have been at that same place at that same time and wouldnt have been hit at all. :)

Sure she didn't back into something and say she was rear-ended?

Bought a brand new $55k+ F250 Diesel in 2008. First week my wife asks to drive it to work so she can show her friend. She proceeds to unlock the tailgate to show her friend the built in drop down step feature and forgets to lock that shit back up. Low and behold some low life piece of shits come by and steal my tailgate in the Elementary school parking lot where she works later in the day.

Sure enough, my wife went into full panic mode at the end of the day when she walked into the parking lot. As mad as I was at the situation I let her off the hook easy as she was distraught by the whole ordeal and knowing how pissed I would be. After all, it's just a hunk of metal that can be replaced, it's just too bad that hunk of metal was $2600. Since that time, she has never once asked to drive my truck again. Lol.

What keeps some one from stealing the hitch step?
