Just remember there are a few tricks to good pizza. Bread flour is a must, quality mozzarella (and I'm a parmesiano/romano freak) and good olive oil. Start your dry active yeast in the water, with a little bit of sugar, and let it start to foam before you mix in the flour and salt. Pizza is cheap to make and it's easy to make the best you've ever had.

Where do you get your mozzarella? I have been told to make sure it isn't the fat free kind but that's all I can ever find.

Correct, you want the fat. I get mine at giant food stores. You want a dry or what's called a low moisture mozzarella such as Polly-o, trader joe or capiello. Most stores will often carry the pre shredded pizza cheese which I found to be a suitable substitute on the fly.

Dang, I probably wont find it in wyoming then. We have safeway, albertsons and walmart for food.

On another note, one of my roommates made chilli dogs last night and offered some to me. My dad came down so I had already eaten at texas roadhouse. I decided to take one and see how it came out after freezing it and then nuking it. Surprisingly well! The bun wasn't the best but thats expected after a few minutes in the microwave. I might just make a few of those for my sonic cravings.

x2! Everytime I make burgers I just get the biggest pack of beef I can find and go to town. Only downside is that I eat burgers for a week straight

Just noticed how grungy that oven looks... pardon the mess, had just finished making a Bolognese

btw, Bolognese freezes great, just make sure it's cooled down before you store it or the moisture from the steam will wreak havoc.

Thought about you as I was making them, because you expressed interest in it before. Works great.

My lastest and I believe will be a favorite is chili mac. My girlfriend got me a dutch oven for my birthday but I never had time to season it until yesterday. I used the chili mac recipe from dutchovendude.com because it was simple and cheap. It made about 8 servings for $11. I bought a medium size block of cheese to put on top of each meal so I will have tons of cheese left over. I like my chili mac a little spicier so I might be inclined to add some additional ingredients in the future.

I need to start doing more of this.
I do like to cook big meals and freeze the remainder in small grab n go portions for lunch and dinners.

When I do this I usually have days where I just cook all day. I usually end up not doing this during the week because I want the left overs lol
