so I'll be swapping my stock+Icon AAL for @Miyagi's Dakars, but I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help out? I think the biggest issue is space, since I think we need both trucks on stands? I have a pretty slanted driveway, and my garage can only fit 1 truck :(

also, if anyone wants to lend a hand, feel free. I don't want to speak for @Miyagi, but my mod-level is rookie, but I'm trying to work my way up

if all fails, we're gonna head to a shop.

Lol... my usual "garage" is in front of my house.. lol.. can fit 2 cars easy though...

Whereever you do it, need at least 4 stands, and 2 floor jacks.

yeah, I have a good size driveway too, but the whole thing is angled enough to where I wouldn't feel comfortable jacking up a truck and putting it on stands :(

leave one in the street (right in front of the house) and the other in the garage.... If possible, don't pay a shop.. some hands, some food and beer, and will save you guys a bunch.. Your more than welcome to borrow my stands and jack.. I would bring it over, but don't think the 2.5-3 ton jack fits easily in the 4R.... lol.. check this out for the leaf portion.. This is the thread I used to install my Dakars..

If you can do one in the garage and one on the street like Neil said. You can get away with 1 jack, 4+ stands, and a few blocks of wood.

Still may need the 2 jacks.. once you take a leaf off of one, you need the jack to keep the axel up...

And yes, the stuggle IS real...

And good thing I kept the CRV. Hopefully the 4R gets better gas milage after break-in, but my first fill-up was 15.72 MPG... I was getting 14s with the truck. Once the sliders come in, I'll probably be down in the 14s again... SMH...

Did you need a place to do the swap? or just help. And, when were you planning on doing it?

@cubiclesurfer I'm right there with you in terms of my mod-level being rookie. Happy to learn and help though.

Wow, that's not great mileage.. Is that all city? Or combined?

I only have the one jack, so whenever I pull my leafs I use two 4x4 blocks of wood to support the axle at either end, and a third to support the pinion. It's more secure than leaving it on the jack. But if one truck is in the garage and one on the street, probably easier with two jacks lol

Yea... wasn't even technically broken in yet. Was only like 170 miles...
But if you have ever been to my house, I go down and up 2 pretty decent hills. The cool weather makes up for the crappy gas milage.
