Where did you get these mud flaps? People on other treads are dying for them!

To the OP's question. Yesterday out of my sub division and down the Hwy leading out of town. We got 5" of wet snow which promptly turned to an icy, crusted snow base on the roads. My very tired '91 4Runner needs new shoes and the next guy can provide them when he builds his bush truck out of the truck. Even in 4 wheel it was an adventure.

One mod I intend to do is drop the air dam or figure out how to easily remove then replace the dam based upon the seasons. Winter snow conditions can provide 8 - 10 inches on the roads over the winter and I doubt the dam is designed for snow plowing.

Some of the scenery is unreal, wish we had scenic places to explore like that in my neck of the woods. Road trip to see family in Utah, Colorado and Arizona is in order.

It's pretty easy, just 11 screws. Takes 5 minutes to put on or remove, since you want to do it for each season

I might only have an SR5 but that just means I have to be careful. Friend has some farm land and a pond he let me drive around. That hill was too much to crawl up without 4 wheel drive and I didn't want to hit it with the speed needed because the pond was right on the other side. Still made for a pretty picture. I also drove it through there a second time when it was a bit muddier. Had to keep enough speed to avoid getting bogged down but I made it through.

Overall a car with enough clearance could drive around there but since there is no pavement it is off road ;)

I wonder who else with an SR5 has gone exploring.

im curious if anyone with a stock limited has gone exploring, surely it should be just as capable as a sport and sr5?

Most people here are buying Sport and OR. I have seen very few Limiteds on here.

I drove my limited on some BLM roads during hunting season in Colorado. Nothing crazy though. If there had been more mud I think the tires would have been the limiting factor.
