I've got a 2004 Tacoma, extended cab. I like the truck and have put some nice adds including Icon shocks all around and tundra brake upgrades.....and best of all, it's paid for. I've always wanted to add just an inch or two more leg room. Does anyone out there have experience customizing the seat brackets or getting more leg room with any retrofit seats? Any help is appreciated! :)

check out the 2nd pic in this reply. he made a small bracket to offset his mounting point for his non original seats that were off by 1 bolt hole.

you can probably custom cut 4 brackets (or 2 really long ones) that are 3/8-1/2 inch thick to set the rails back as far as you want. know what I mean? a mounting bracket for the seat rails that can move it back 2 inches or more?

this probably wont work since you have some mounting points that are bent down. damn :-\

I had similar feelings about the seating position in mine so I put in some seats from a 4runner and they ended up about an inch taller than stock. The new seating position seemed to solve the legroom issue and was much more comfortable.
