I just swapped the rails from my Tacoma seats to the 4runner ones. Which is a lot easier said than done. Lots of drilling and grinding to get it to work. Took me about a day to figure out how to get the rails off, then another day to figure out how to get them on the 4runner seats.

Yeah I was thinking that would be easier than drilling holes in the floor to fit the 4runner tracks.
So does the dial make the seat front tilt up or down I'm hoping? I'm going to have to try it if I can find some clean ones. Thanks for the feedback.

And you took the tracks that are attached to the bottom Tacoma seats and attached them to the bottom of the 4 runner seats?

I've done a mod or two
I like them a lot, they are the second seat swap I have done on my truck. I didn't have bucket seats to begin with so a rail swap wasn't possible as the mounts on the driver's side of a 60/40 bench are much too low. But it was only an afternoon to weld my old mounts with some spacers and they fit perfectly. I like the leather and I believe the seats weren't from a limited because the limited had power seats with power lumbar and power height adjustments. If you have seat swap questions lemme know, after doing a couple you kind of iron the kinks out.

Has anyone heard pro's & Cons on taking the Cat converter off of a 3.4 v6?

I had a upstream 02 sensor go bad because the previous owner put a universal sensor in, so I replaced it.
While replacing it I finally realized that the PO took out the cat converter and just straight piped it to the muffler
    Now I am throwing a P0420 code.
I would imagine with the muffler would have enough back pressure, just not sure.

Since I have changed the 02 sensor the truck will surge while stopped.

It is throwing Bank 1 knock sensor code after I just had them replaced. I am still underway on trying to fix that.
Just trying to get any insight on the Cat that may be causing additional issues.

    Thanks again

Not sure on that whole causing performance issues, but they do have 02 simulators that push the correct information to the ecu so the engine doesn't begin to retard like it sounds like it's doing.

    Awesome.

It's tied for first (with full OME suspension) for best mod I did to my truck.

Your engine doesn't need back pressure for one. Without the cat your down stream sensor is reading there isn't a cat there, apparently your upsteam sensor uses your downstream sensor to resets your uptream sensor (the one that adjusts you a/f ratio) from time to time. So if it's not reading correctly, which it isn't, there could be some problems. So for the down stream sensor you can get a 02 simulator, which sends a signal to you ecu making it think that the cat is still in place and working correctly. That will get ride of your cel.

You could use an O2 simulator but its illegal. And while you may get away with it also becomes a federal crime to sell a vehicle that has had the emissions tampered with. Removing a CAT or adding O2 sensors is tampering with emissions and against federal law

The act of removing a catalytic converter without replacing it with an approved replacement (known as "tampering") is illegal under federal law and is of great concern to EPA because of the high pollution levels that are emitted by vehicles without properly functioning emission controls. The original antitampering law was part of the Clean Air Act of 1970; it applied only to manufacturers and car dealers. The antitampering law was expanded by the 1977 Clean Air Act Amendments to apply to all automobile repair facilities, commercial mechanics, and fleet operators. And the 1990 Clean Air Act Amendments (CAAA) broadened the tampering provision even further; it now applies to everyone, including car owners

Finally ordered the correct rocker for the OTRATTW switches I bought awhile ago.

When I originally ordered them I had no idea they were coming with an indicator bar. Do not like.

So I called them today and told them of my error. They're sending me three new rockers (w/o indicator bar) and a tool to remove the rocker from the switch body for $8. Definitely great customer service.

Thanks for the heads up on the illegal part.

Where could I get a O2 Simulator at?

That actually makes sense. THanks for the detail explanation.

    Lol @Silver02Taco
Im not a criminal mastermind, but getting in a pinch over running a truck without a cat is the least of my worries compared to an tenth of the things from my younger days...
