I don't have any issues, then again it doesn't get that cold here in So Cal.

It was 36 degrees this morning. My supercharger loved it. It makes a little more noise at idle when it is cold, but it doesn't run rough at all.

The backspace will be the only issue pending what wheel you go with. Even then ...you can go with spacers. At the least regardless what wheel you go with, no mud flaps and very minor plastic trimming will probably be needed. I'd go with 285/70/17.

I have the baja 1" spacer with 285/75/16. Spacer had no noticeable difference in ride quality and I paid close attention to it before installing. I have 1.25" wheel spacer on trd rim and it needed a cab mount chop. Pretty sure even without the wheel spacer you will need a cab mount chop.

I am sticking with the OG Baja wheels that came on my baby when I brought her home new last year. I may just go +1 to be safe but damn do 285's look good on a lifted Tacoma

Magnuson will be re-releasing them soon. Just without the TRD branding.

Oo... maybe with a price drop, that TRD name had to add some $$$$ to the bill.

I would think so. But the warranty for it under Toyota was a convincing peace at mind.

I don't see the price coming down much, if any.

Anyone running a set of Dakar's on their Baja with the stock shocks? My leafsprings are flat and the ass end sags bad when I haul anything over 300lbs or even hook up my 5x14 utility trailer empty. I don't want to get AAL's because the main leafs are already shot. I've only got 22k miles on the truck and it's a 2013. I'll probably ad the coil spacers up front to level it out with the Dakar's.

Dakars provide a pretty high lift for the Baja. 2.75"+ when the Baja front is only 1.75" is very disproportional. Even if you removed a leaf you are still at 2.25"+. I'd suggest looking at the 2" Toytec BOSS or something similar.

Are they good for hauling and towing? The rear leafs have always been soft and the rear of the truck squats too much even when I climb up in the bed.

    No mods whatsoever!
I went with the Wheelers 5 leaf HD's. They gave me about a 3/4" rake with the Baja suspension. Happy with them so far, and was able to remove the rear 1" blocks. No squeaks. No vibrations.
