    probably needs a new horn-bearing..









    :p my real guess would be bad connection somewhere along the way.. check the contacts & grounding at the horns.. or on the steering wheel switch (less likely)

    Those damn horn bearings are always going out!! I'll have to look into how to get behind the steering wheel. With my luck, I'll set off the airbag trying to get to it and knock myself out!

    I think I've used my horn once in the 4 years I've had the truck and the one time I want to use it in baja, it's dead....

    haha clearly the bearings go out when it doesn't get used! I'd really investigate under the hood before under the wheel.. try using a spare lead to bypass different parts of the connection along the way. Also, not sure if theres a fuse but if there is I'm guessing you already checked that :p

    This is basic, but did you happen to unplug it when you put on your bumper? Otherwise, I'd get that voltmeter out. If it doesn't work, get the steibel train air horn anyways :stirthepot:

    No, nothing needed to be unplugged for that install. The way I see it, if I need to make some noise I'll just flip on the PA and scream like a girl. :eek: probably work better! :laughing:
