    Good morning everyone!!

Ive been looking at leveling my 2016 2wd TRD Sport.

I've heard great things about the Billstein 5100's and I'm really leaning toward them but I would like to know if that's the better way to go over the Toytech spacer.

If I did go with the 5100's what would be a good tire for a pretty aggressive look?

    Thanks for your help everyone!!

Do not get spacers. 5100's are much better.

Daily driver. Just like the look of leveled trucks with a nice aggressive tire. I had a Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 that I lifted years back. That was to big.

I don't really see a big reason not to go with 2 spacers, they're like 40 bucks
and if you're not off roading, they'll do fine. I'm leveling soon and will be using spacers,
never had issue with them nor has anyone I've known that never planned on going off-road.

If your not off roading spacers are fine. A good kit is about 300$ .

Toytech has spacers for $69. Seems like the way to go. Has anyone heard about them?

If you're like me, you'll regret putting spacers in and wish you had done the 5100's. You will have a better ride and not have shortened shock travel. Just my two cents...

I'm leaning towards the 5100's. From what I read, they have a options as far as ride height goes. Rex, did you do just the front or both from and back?

Spacer lift, bumper stickers, ejector seat, etc.
There is absolutely no reason to go with spacers. Why put $50 spacers on a $30,000 truck when 5100's can be had for ~$160 this time of year and are a much better option. Even if you will be on road 100% of the time, you WILL REGRET spacers.

Oh, I haven't done it yet. Just speaking on my experience from this forum and several others from previous vehicles. Everyone is much happier with the bilsteins and I for one, would not do a mod that would reduce the capabilities of the vehicle. Sorry if I made it seem like I had done this on the Tacoma.

i had spacers on my 2007 Tacoma, and it was ok, a little rough on bumps but not too bad. i didnt go offroad because it was a one wheel drive. But with my new 2008 im going 5100 because i do plan to go offroad some with it. I just ordered a full set of 4 5100 from Jet.com for $243.18 shipped. So its up to you. But you will have a more comfortable ride with 5100 and you can adjust the height if you want to go taller. Also you will be able to throw OME 885 or 886 and get height without compression of the shock and have even better ride with height... If i was doing a new truck i would rather have new struts and shocks over spacers. But it all depends on budget and usage.

Billsteins are on sale and looks like that's what I'm going with!! The guy at 4 Wheels parts said I could jump to a 275 tire as well.

Spacers are never a valid option.
