    I'm listening to the expanded version of The Byrds' CD, "Sweetheart Of The Rodeo" which features the great guitarist, Clarence White, whose guitar is now owned by Marty Stuart. I was bery blessed to be able to be in a band that got to open two shows for Marty way back on July 17, 2008 in Hiawassee, GA, and I finally (after years of hearing and knowing about that legendary guitar, I got to put it around my neck and play it. It's significant among guitarists such as myself because it has the first "B-Bender" installed (that's why the guitar body is so large - the mechanism couldn't be fitted inside the entire guitar so Gene Parsons, a fellow band mate of Clarence's in The Byrds, came up with the idea to put another less-than-half of a Fender Telecaster body to the back so that the mechanism would fit and work properly. By doing that, it gave the guitar more weight but it also gave it an acoustic-type of a feel to it when played. And the tones are amazing that comes out of that guitar!! I'm having a replica Clarence-White guitar made by a friend and I'm hoping that he'll have it done soon.
