I have Dakar on my Baja with stock shocks. I first removed the third leaf and the bottom overload leaf to even out the front and rear, but I later decided to put the bottom overload leaf back to give it a 1/2" rake. They even out the front and rear nicely when you have heavy load in the back. The stock leaf packs are too soft for a truck.

they probably will remain the same as the trd msrp for the s/c, maybe a little bit more because they have to figure out the ecu tuning and carb certs

take it in for warranty since it falls under the 3 year 36k bumper to bumper warranty. have them replace the leaf pack maybe you can add a leaf to that setup.

Wheelers Progressive AAL, Firestone RideRite airbags.
Thats still the setup Im looking to go with. Right now Im running the firestone airbags in the rear on my crap stock spings with a 3 leaf AAL. When I did the install I removed my Overload spring, added the new leaf pack, and then added the airbag. Only reason I did this was because I had already bought the AAL and I wanted to at least try them out. Really I could have gotten by with leaving the springs and just installing the airbags.

Here's a picture of the truck with about 8-10psi in them.

Im still not 100% satisfied with the way I have things setup. I was thinking about the Dakar rear springs, removing the overload and then getting a coil spacer for the front.

Hey guys I posted this on another thread but I only got one response that didn't really give me much. I am looking at how big of tires I can go on my Pro with out having rubbing or the need to put a bigger lift than what comes stock with the TRD Pro. Current tire is 265/70/R16. Would I be able to get away with 275/70/R16 or 285/70/R16?

I would think you could.....I have a BAJA with 295/65/18 on 18x9 konig bfd wheels. Itl just depends on your backspace.....you may need some wheel spacers (bora or spidertrax) as well as removing the flaps and very minor trimming to the front wheel well plastic.

I'm just going to have to toy with it I guess. I think I will be okay going up to 275/75/R16.

I'm positive you will be fine here. You should even be able to retain you mudflats and no cutting for street use.

I figured I was going to have to remove the flaps. I like the no flap look. I guess for me it looks like the truck sits higher. I have a while before my tires are going to be worn enough to change them. The tires I have have less than 5k on them. But I think it's a good plan to start a Truck Fund so when the time comes....I won't have to scrounge for money lol. Thanks tyfoon and everyone else for the info.

Alright guys I'm doing some research on the best method to paint the beadlock wheel rim. I don't have the time, money or equipment to powdercoat. I was looking at dipyourcar.com and figured I would see if anyone has experience with this product. Since my Taco is black with blacked out badges I wanted to black out everything. I like the chrome rim ring but I wouldn't mind see how it looks matte black. Has anyone done this with the TRD beadlocks? Got pics?
