If a year is all just wait man or if you got money burning a hole in your pocket pick something that's not gonna change in the future. Also the stock trucks can do more than enough especially if you don't wheel much. :deadhorse: But for real man start slow use it stock and get a feel for what your doing. And I bet you your idea of what you want will probably change over the next few months.

I love beating dead horses :D

All jokes aside I'm ready to wheel by biggest fear was damage I could prevent before i went out i.e. Armor

There's a long road ahead of mods to my girl just wanting to jump the gun an not think that's why I come here before I spend on big things at least.

Looking at skids maybe 4 if I do pull the trigger prob 3

I would get the full set... But that's just me. The 20% off on @Pelfreybilt skids is a killer deal. And like you said if your worried about damage and want armor first go with that so you CAN get out there and wheel.

No I would do the full set if it was my truck, but I've already scrapped a few times on the front cross member and transfer case. But for you the 3 piece set should be plenty to get you by till next year. Also you never know you might find just a gas tank skid on CL or for sale on T dubs

aside from going with some 5100's or something... if you're planning on going long travel just keep saving. not worth it at all in the end building the truck up a little but just to redo everything and spend large amounts of money all over again a year later... trust me i know first hand. haha

They will only match it if it's something they carry. My Cooper STT MAXXs in my size, were considered special order, so they gave me their "best offer", but it wasn't even close. Still it's worth seeing if they can, but the last two times I have ordered online and just gone to the mexician tire shop around the corner and had them mount them for me.

Thanks. I was looking at the ST Maxx. Tread Depot has them for 800 and then another 160 to ship. How to you like your Coopers? What size. I was looking at 285/75/16
