You were correct. I guess a cell or two went bad it could have been from me over tightening the brace but anyway went ahead and got a yellow top and brought the truck back alive! Feels like is has mor power and I did read somewhere if you have a bad battery but are still able to drive with it it will affect your performance and fuel mileage. I can def tell I got my performance back but not sure about fuel mileage yet. It was hard for me to believe that my battery had went bad in just a year but I know now that it is possible and if it wver happens next I will not not hold off as long as I did to go to parts store. I ordered an add a fuse as well to take care of the light bar problem as well

many things can kill a battery. Removing the positive cable before the ground, vibration, excess load on the electrical system(this would be an alternator issue as the battery never gets fully charged, you see this a lot with a lot of added accessories running all the time and you need higher amperage alternator. the vehicle should run off the alternator, not constant putting the load one the battery), or if you have the corrosion issues on the posts. Draining a battery completely dead will definitely ruin one.
A battery can have an "open" the vehicle won't run at all.

I had then check out my alternator to and it checked out good. Maybe I was just unlucky but wtlesst I go my a year out of that battery and have been keeping s check in the new battery and it is still the same as the day I out it in. I normally do not remove the terminals off of the battery and I do keep the battery clean. Who knows what happened but I have the battery I want now and if something does go wrong with this one then I will know something is going bad but I don't think is the issue.

Yea before they put the yellow top in I made them check it and then check it again once it was in the truck. They were prolly happy after I left haha
