Might want to expand your vocabulary. Because blemished has nothing to do with being inferior or defective.

    blem·ish
    /ˈblemiSH/

    noun

    • 1.a small mark or flaw that spoils the appearance of something

My vocabulary? I didn't have to go to dictionary.com to know what the word blemish means. BLEMS, as tire/wheels shops call them, MAY have visual defects only, but also may have something else wrong with them to make them NON DOT compliant. See bottom quote since you need to work on your comprehension.

I don't know why you join these boards just to be a dick when someone tells you the truth about something, only because you want to save $20-$30 a tire. Again, you do whatever you think you need to

Just to stir the pot a tad more LOL,.... BLEM in tire manufacturing world means any and all defects just to be clear... Might be missing a belt, bead missing, or just something like the white letters didn't mold right, there is lots of variables when it comes to those things... Not trying to start any heated debates here just wanted to let ya know....

So much awesome! Now you got me thinking 285s with the bumpers are the way to go. My front should be here in a month. In my opinion 255s now seem the perfect match with stock bumpers, and 285s look great with plate bumpers. This is the direction I'm going now.

I have sold many sets of these tires. Some guys love them and some guys hate them. I personally liked them until I drove a friends truck with them on. Actually multiple trucks with these on.

The number one complaint is it feels like the lugs shift or the sidewall folds under on cornering. I told my buddy he is nuts and its all in his head, until I drove it. It does feel like just that. It wanders even in a straight line with minor left and right movement. You can just fell the shifting of the tire and its not a good feeling.

I also drove a regular customers truck the day we put them on, to see if it felt the same, and it did. For this reason I will not buy this tire.

The new STT PRO looks like it will be a bad ass tire though.

I also want to note that the trucks with the wander in the tread blocks were chevy 2500's. One gas, one diesel. Maybe weight had something to do with it.

Curious if the vehicles experiencing the wandering are full size trucks (ie F350s or Dodge Diesel 3500) or also include mid size trucks like the Tacomas? I understand from other forums, when the air pressure is increased (ie 40psi) the problem goes away. What air pressure do these tires leave the shop with? Comments?

I think most of the "squishy" feeling people are gettign are in 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. The ST Maxx is an E rated tire, but it's pretty soft. I know I have seen some people with full sized trucks complain about this. I have never had that feeling in my truck and I am on my 2nd set of ST Maxx.

I have them on my buddies 2500 chevy diesel and his F250 service truck diesel. I labeled the service truck so you know Its a heavy pig. It has a compressor, welder, tool box, and generator. He as experienced the shifty lugs on both trucks. 65psi fronts and 80psi rear.

Another friend with a chevy 2500 diesel was the first to inform me of this. 60psi and 80psi

I put them on another friends F150. He hasn't experienced this. He runs 40 or 45psi in them. Also only a half ton gas.
