Hey guys, I recently purchased a 2007 Tacoma with the Old Man Emu suspension. It appears that the rear leafs were upgraded as well. Now the truck doesn't sit fully levelled. The rear end sits higher than the front. My question is, with this suspension upgrade, is it still possible to add block lifts to the front suspension to level the front out? My truck rubs with my new wheels and I don't like the look of it not being levelled. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You can see that the rear sits substantially higher than the rear

Some weight in the rear will level it out :D

I would imagine you could still do the top plates. Check to make sure the mounting studs on the struts are long enough to add plates. Install of the plates is pretty easy.

A couple things to consider: If the truck sits level when empty, it will have ass sag with weight in it. Also, it looks like you are pretty close to 3" of lift up front already, which is about the max on these trucks for a suspension lift. The down travel has been greatly reduced already, plus the CVs and their boots could be stressed if you go higher, and you might experience the struts topping out on bumps.

OME offers spacers for the front assembly which should level you out. Sounds like you have OME Dakars on the rear, which give ~3" if lift. Only way to get 3" up front with OME is to use those spacers from what I have seen.

I have a 7 leaf Dakar pack in the rear. I have OME 886 coils with 1/4" top plate spacers in the front.

This setup left me just a little nose high.

For me, it didn't matter, as I also have rear bags. A few extra pounds of air and I'm level.

Just keep in mind, if you decide to add spacers, the amount of lift is greater than the thickness of the spacer.

    I.e. A 1/4" spacer is supposed to give 1/2" to 5/8" lift.

Or you could do what I did and delete one of the overload leaves reducing the lift in the back by approx. 5\8".

Just a bunch of old crap
OME calls it a trim pack. It's a 10mm spacer that goes on the shock and preloads the coil. Same action as a top plate spacer, but this one goes under the spring instead of on top of it.

It will bring it up in the front by .8" (.4" trim spacer, but double that figure for the lift it adds). You don't want to go any higher than that or you'll stress your CV's.

The OME trim pack spacer is to combat driver's side lean. You probably already have one under the driver's side spring mount (usually 5mm). I would personally not add more than one trim pack spacer to a coilover assembly. In addition, adding trim pack spacers would require disassembling the coilover.

It is very common for folks running OME 885 coils to add a 1/2" top plate spacer on top of the coilover assembly to achieve 3" of lift. These are much easier to install than the trim pack spacer and can be found here:

This^ and 1/4 inch spacer should yield about 1/2 inch of lift, as previously stated.

So I can add 10mm to both sides to make truck even I have same issue. But I already have the trim packer on drivers side, this shouldn't affect anything will it?

Trim packer is in the coilover assembly, top plate spacers sit on top of the coilover. No problems there.

Adding a 10mm top plate spacer to both sides will not hurt anything.

1/4" spacers provide 1/2" of lift. 10mm spacers are .4", so you get .8" of lift.

Depends on how much height you want. I'd measure your front and rear from hub to fender. Determine the difference and start from there. You could add 1/4", 10mm, or 1/2" depending on how much height you want. I'm not sure what the spacer thickness translates to height wise, but I don't think it's a 1:2 ratio. I would ask someone with a similar setup or customer service at Wheeler's or Toytec.
