Serious question, why all the 3rd Gen hate? Just because they're basically the refresh we should have gotten in '09...or is something else cropping up that they aren't talking about on the 3rd Gen forums?

FWIW, I recently purchased a 2015 DCLB SR5 4x4...but I don't have any pics at the moment. Profile pic is of my '12 AC 2.7 auto 4x4 that got traded in once a baby entered the picture.

Hey brother! I actually already have a set lined up from another TW for when I get back. I do appreciate the offer, though - good looking out! I'll get those steelies off as soon as I get back! :)

You're going to get a ton of different answers on this. Any time that there is a new 'generation' of any vehicle with a loyal following, such as Tacomas, there's going to be pushback.

Personally, I think they ruined the looks of the Taco, but who knows - maybe it'll grow on me over time. I don't trust their drivetrain yet, and am not a fan of a truck that tries to be a car. However, I can see how some people might like all the interior upgrades that were done.

To each their own, but you won't see me in a '16 anytime soon. Also, the '16 is getting owned by its competitors at this time; that may change in the future.

yeah, that last bit i was a little disappointed on. as technically sophisticated as the Japanese usually are, the gas mileage thing is a hot mess. the american manufacturers, meanwhile, are all over this. the new corvette gets significantly better mileage than my truck. what the hell.

Thanks. I had plates on my shell drilled thru. Are these plates attached in the factory rack channel?
