Added Wheelers Off Road single AAL today.
Not to bad, except I only had it marginally high enough, so it was a bit of a bitch. Took me three hours, because I really wasn't high enough and had a bit of an issue with a Harbor Freight clamp...

Here is a shot of the extra jack I had to use to get a little more height

The Harbor Freight clamp that failed. I barely had any pressure on it. The other one was fine.
Anyone know who makes a decent C-clamp?

All in all It is now about two inches higher than before, however it was about an inch sag in the back without any weight in the bed, so I am up about an inch right now.
Very happy with it after a 10 mile ride.

Yup. I had that issue as well. It's funny how long the axle travels on these trucks...
Regarding clamps, I have the same ones and as a matter of fact, one of mine is completely bend(another project where I used a wise grip to tighten) but it never broke ...

The part that I don't think anyone mentioned is that trucks aren't generally level to start with.

On a stock Tacoma (and virtually any other truck), the back end is higher than the front end. On a TRD Pro, there is a front lift so it sits basically level. It's an outliar.

By adding a shell, you've added ~200 lbs and caused the back end to sag, making it lower than the front. On a normal Tacoma, it would sit about level with a shell. On a TRD Pro, any weight in the back will make the back lower than the front.

Regardless, good choice going with AALs instead of blocks.

    I installed a 1" block, and a...

2" AAL from Trail Gear on sale for $65 CAD a while ago:

    https://www.trail-gear.com/TG/REAR_...5__/i_0_0_412/_300598-1-KIT.aspx#.VlngrqWFPIU (USA)

I tossed the crappy center pins that came with them and bought carbon steel ones at Car Quest ($7). I kept the overload spring. Way cheaper than the overpriced Icon leaf pack. Does the same thing.

... and Air Lifts #59561 (bought when our dollar was at par and got a $75 rebate)

These are a lot cheaper than the Firestones and do the same thing. I have had them on my last three trucks. (pic taken before AAL and repaint of undercarriage)

I have the Canadian TRD 4 leaf pack. My truck rides just fine with heavy loads, and rides soft with only 5 lbs of air in the bags.

Hello guys, what is this line(ABS?)? The OEM bracket is not lining up with AAL. If I force the cable to lineup with new ICON bracket, the cable will bend at an angle. I have metal wires holding it now...

Thoses clips hold on the EBrake cable to the OEM spring pack, I cut the metal clips off and let the cables just hang naturally. I tried to put them back where they were, but it was too much tension.

I'm looking to add dakars or AP packs on my 15' pro. (Would like AP for hearing bit softer rides) 200pound shell + prinsu rack will be on the truck the whole time. Is it recommended to change out my rear pro shocks? 3" lift to much on them? I would like to remove a spring to try stay 2.5"
I also plan on installing 1" spring seat in the front with canburg Bj UCA. Anyone disagree on this for overstretcing the shocks ?
