Well that is truly a work of art. I know there'd have to be a good market making these for all the different gen tacomas. I'm sure the later models would have the most demand but I'd be first in line for an early 1st gen.

 

If the price s right I'll b second in line for a 1st gen! 2000 Tacoma

Just wrapped my design efforts for the night. So far, so good! Found a picture of the new TACOMA font from a poster in the background of a pic of the truck at the detroit auto show. May use it to do more things with, but it was a pain to retrace it and optimize it. I think it looks spot on now, though. So I designed the new lettering around that and I think it looks much better than the last one already. Major changes to the center frame, as well. This one will actually step out more and have a slight angle to make the whole design and lettering flow better with the rest of the front end. Also considering what other things to implement. LED running light mounting / trim, faux intake vents, etc... Just thinking out loud, but some of those things are present on the 2016 raptor grill and I think it looks damn impressive.




I also ordered a pair of OEM headlights and two pairs of square Mini D2S retrofit kits. Yes, I said two pairs. Both will be going in the single pair of OEM headlights. Stay tünd

Printed the lettering for the new grill prototype tonight. This is going to be epic.

 

I'm all over this when they become available.

 

Holy shit. well since im upgrading to the 2012+ interior you may as well put me on a waiting list for a 2012+ grill too......

 

These ones will be made on a one-off basis for now. Traditional satoshi style grills are already available to order from both me and Homer but the ones with the custom frames and lettering will be few and far between, and most likely very expensive. It's a ton of work to make each one. Have to 3d print them in 12-15 pieces each and then weld them all together before doing hours of body work :/

 

I have an extra 05-10 grill If you want to "experiment" with this style on it I will even bring it to you.

if you print and weld ill do the body work on it.

 

We could definitely work something along these lines out.... Send me a PM and we can talk more about it.
