$28k and another 2k for TTL.

    SR5 DCSB V6 2WD, silver/gray, tow package, carpet mats.

I think I got a great deal, considering some people paying up towards 40k. Shopped all over Houston.

Southern California - 2016 Limited 4X2 DC in Silver Sky + Tow, Tonneau, Carpets, Ex Tip. Dealer was asking MSRP+$3k. ($40,244) Final price applied to our lease was $38,003.62. This was an exceptional deal to take a limited off the lot - there were only 9 in California, period. We used a broker service called Cartelligent and never had to set foot in the dealership. I have to give a shout out to Chris M. who handled the whole thing for us and had the truck delivered to our driveway. Amazing experience.

Hello all! I'm new to this forum and forums of any kind. I've also never owned a truck so I'm as newbie as it gets.

I told my dealership what I wanted and put a $1K deposit down. They told me delivery at the beginning of Dec. Then 22nd of Dec and now maybe a few days later than that. He just sent me these numbers today as he only gave me a few "menus" in the beginning to give me ideas of pricing.image.jpg
That is OTD after $5K trade in. Is there any way I am going to have any leverage to talk them down since I told them I wanted this truck and didn't talk exact numbers before ordering? And if not am I overpaying? Located in St. Pete Florida. Southeast Toyota region. Thanks!

"Idea of Price" ??? Why didn't you make a deal when you ordered it? They are going to screw you once it arrives

She's full of shit.. Some of them don't participate and each has a different amount they agree to with Costco, but I custom ordered mine and paid $500 over invoice. You just gotta shop around.

Most dealerships don't do anything with Costco. Why do you think they will all offer him 500 over invoice?

also, WHERE ARE YOU SHOPPING??? You must not be reading this thread much

Seattle.. Where the truck originated and the release was held. If I can get it for this price from multiple local dealers, it's possibly anywhere. I didn't even leave the city I live in for this price.

    Good luck, it'll happen.

Oh.. And the $500 over invoice price was only about $1,200 under MSRP. So, if you can't make it happen, it's really not a huge difference. Just don't pay over retail.

We paid 500 under MSRP. Build date is December 12th

Sunnyvale is NOT giving 750 over invoice anymore. Merced is still doing 250 over invoice but they are around 6 months for a 7568

That's how they get around Costco and TrueCar prices. The best way still is to start at Invoice and move up until you don't want the truck at the price the dealers demands. A good deal looks awful after they add their off the sticker "fees" and dealer options.

Not exactly.. This is how mine broke down.. I had a few more options added, but this is to illustrate. Each item has a different invoice price. So, the more you buy, the better price you get (according to discounts). That being said, my truck retails at about $36K and I paid $34,500+TDA, registration, taxes, title and doc fee.

I haven't bought a car in 10 years and it was an '05 when all the '06s were on the lot. I also have never ordered a new vehicle. But I am going to go negotiate before they get it. They just called me to make sure I wanted the tow package so I'm pretty sure they haven't even got one locked in. The numbers he gave me show $690 off of MSRP. So I'm trying to figure out how to negotiate from the dealers cost when I don't know theit cost is because they haven't paid for it yet. So work with invoice price?
