I'm to the South in Ellis Co. I've be talking to the dealers along I-20 and put down my deposit a month ago while being told that they could have a truck for me in less than 3 weeks. They do call me but only to give me another excuse.

floor mats are also thrown into the truck at each port. They come in a bag unless the dealership takes them out of the bag and 'installs' them during PDI

Thanks guys, I appreciate the schooling. My only sticking point for what I'm wanting now is that TRD + Tech Package = tonneau cover ..... or wait until February.

This master list came in handy. Worked a deal for an AC OR 4x4 for $500 over invoice for a truck that the dealer just received. All was good until the Wife said wait until after Christmas. Happy Wife =Happy Life.

I stopped at the Toyota dealership in St. Joe, MO today. They had a regional market adjustment sticker in the window of a new Tacoma that added nearly $2000 to MSRP. All I could do was shake my head.

About 3 weeks ago I ordered a 7566 DCLB Sport Inferno ($31,814) with FP Prem/Tech/JBL ($2701). So from what I'm understanding the list for both is $35,415 plus $900 DPH. They told me when I ordered it that the MSRP was $39,100.00 and they would give me $1000 off. That brings it to $38,100.00.

So my question is what would be reasonable price to pay based on everyones experience? I need to make up some difference because I'll be short with my trade in. Also do I have a leg to stand on with how in demand the truck is? This dealership can't keep the truck in stock. The last Inferno they got sold in 2 hours.

MSRP for that truck is 34340, not 31814. 31814 is invoice. They paid invoice and TDA to get that truck. They won't let it go cheap. They won't get holdback until end of each quarter

It depends on where you are buying. In Southern California, 1000 off MSRP is a very good deal. Use the info in the OP of this thread to determine the list price with options. If you are coming from the other direction, don't forget to add the TDA fee if you are working up from invoice.

Plus what Z50king said. I haven't verified his facts, but the dude has been shopping hard for a long time.

Sorry meant to put MSRP. I'm in Harrisburg PA. I've been trying to find what people are buying for in the area but nothing. I just did a search and actually found several trucks within driving distance. I have to call and see if any are long bed.

    Buddha,
Try Freedom Toyota, with shops in Harrisburg and Hamburg, PA. Nothing much on their lot due to heavy buyer interest, but they are a big volume dealer and have lots of product in the pipe. You should be able to negotiate $1000 - 1100 off MSRP with them. ask for Brian or Greg.

That's where I'm at. I order my truck with James and they gave me a price of $1000 off MSRP. I was hoping to do a little better than that.

May be tough to do much better until there are trucks making it to the lot and sitting there for a while. I looked all around in PA and CT before signing off at Freedom.

those are Toyota's invoice price to regional distributors. what the distributors charge the dealers can be either

    1. same as Toyota's
    2. higher than Toyota but less than MSRP
    3. variation of #1 and #2 on certain/all items (ie: they can charge oem invoice on big ticket items, and charge higher for smaller items)

Hm.. Good to know. I figured the salesman who told me "we can do $100 under invoice" was full of it when I did the math and found it to be $2k+ over the invoice price listed in this thread.
