I'd upgrade to an 05-15 1grfe if you can. Trd I'm sure you know has discontinued the supercharger program. URD has a few left for this motor but are asking an arm and a leg.....but shortly here in the near future magnussen (who actually made the s/c for Toyota) is taking over the rights to keep making them. They will be identical minus the "TRD" logo......and they should end up being cheaper than what Toyota sold them for.

There probably won't be a supercharger for the new ones.

The 4cyl supercharger is a decent upgrade, but I believe it brings the power up to about the stock v6 so nothing amazing. It's worth it if you want more power for a bolt on source but from what I've read the 4cyl is an amazing base for a turbo system. A lot more work and customization but will handle the boost and upgrades very well.

If you're not interested in turbos or the sc and need/want more power then I'd suggest (if you can afford/feel the need) to sell your truck and get a truck with the v6. Not to mention the supercharger for the v6 is cheaper and easier to find used than the 4cyl, plus more power.

Everyone always say that but it really doesn't. I get a constant 17-19 mpg in the city. Drove on the interstate for a concert and got 17, but that was only a 3 hour drive and back, plus all those hills didn't really help out with saving gas.

It's not too bad....it takes a few hp for it to kick in....so as long as your easy on the pedal there's no difference. .......it's just hard not lay off the gas!!!!
