I know a guy that ripped out a nut on a bike seat in elementary school. He wasn't a nice guy. See him once in a blue moon, can't help but chuckle...

Other than the stupid things I've done like sticking the scissors through my thumb (posted earlier), burns, Anhydrous Ammonia burns, and just burns in general I get to see more than my fair share of terrible things on the job. When I came on in 94 our city was at the height of gang violence. We were making at least 2-3 drive by shootings a day. Made one run where 4 children were shot during a drive by. 3 survived. I've picked up body parts off the freeway and unlodged a 2 yr old's head from underneath the fenderwell of a Semi after a car wreck. No one needs to see that ever. Something you can not prepare yourself for.

Crime was so bad in our city that when I came on we were #1 in crime rate per population in the country. HBO actually made a documentary about it. Pretty sad to watch.

Our population has grown upwards of close to around 400k now.

I'm in a couple scenes of the movie. This is what I came into when I started the job

Sounds like a rough line of work man, that has to be hard to see on a regular basis. What line of work are you in?

No, the story just reminded me of that story is all.

So 8 years ago i was heading home on my motorcycle, hit traffic, was passing it on the shoulder. Didnt see that this uhaul had stopped to let a car turn into a hidden drivway, all i saw was a car appear at about 30mph. This is the end result.

Bionic foot over here! That is crazy man, glad you didn't lose your foot. Did you regain full use of it?

One of the reasons I don't ride motorcycle any longer. I got off easy. Sunshine and 70F, I was going around a curve, had a car coming at me, IN MY LANE! Took the ditch option. Fucker didn't even stop! Got a little banged up, walked home. Bike was totaled:(
I don't think most drivers even see bikes:mad:

I'd love to have a bike, but I just don't trust these shitty CA drivers.

Some lift, some armor, some scratches..

This is my most recent lil boo boo..

Crushed my finger at work about 6wks ago.. Shattered the tip into 5 pieces, kinda exploded the flesh, nail ripped up and forward. It's actually healed pretty damn well. In the process of growing a nail back :/. Lost most of the feeling in it :(

    Cool thread!
