Mounted this in the bed. Needed a little extra storage, didn't quite want a toolbox. Fabbed up a simple steel bracket to bolt it down.

I can't speak to his install, but I deadened a prior vehicle and put strips on the inside of the outer door skin. Couldn't cover the whole panel but the strips helped knock down the resonance created by the door skins. I plan to do the same when I finally get around to deadening my Tacoma one of these days.

I am buying Procomp wheels and tires within the next few days. Should I buy bfg ko2s with them or Mickey Thompson MTZs? I can get them for about the same price and it will only be for show. I drive 100% on pavement

I had them fabbed up and installed by a local guy (Tucson). Here's a link to his business- https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/keepers-metal-fabrication-kmfab.366200/

He is one of the only fabricators in the country that will do hybrid, weld-on sliders, and the quality is top notch. They're strong enough to use it as a high-lift jack point too. Prices on that thread include installation.

I assume it could be a mixture of round and square tubing?

Hybrid sliders use square tubing for the inner piece that connects to the frame, and round tubing for the supports and slider rail. Most slider fabricators will use round tubing throughout, and it's weaker. Here's a pic of them after being primed.

Are you making progress on that bumper so you can get started on my sliders? :welder::sawzall:

Yes and no. You would have to have the same diameter tube As the diagonal section of the square to be the same with same thickness
