How much thread was available on the front facing studs where the winch mount bolts to the truck? Those four studs are how my light bar mounts. Looking at the website, it looks like I could mount both

You could maybe just leave that other plate out and use the mount. The plate is there to sandwich the winch mound but if the light bar mount is decently thick material, it could act the same way. If that makes sense.

Took a long time painting mine up. did a sort of elaborate job with primer then engine/high strength enamel on the inside and shackle points, then bed armor on the front/lower faces. I probably won't have time for the install for another 2-3 weeks, but wanted to hurry and paint it before the rain/rust season hit my area.

Whatever you do... paint, powder coat, bedliner... it's worth it to do a good job, really pays off in the long run. Sounds like yours will turn out nice.

only hitch I've hit so far is that the lugs for the recovery points were drilled so close I had to sand the paint back down a bit, and sand down the green on the shackle pins to get one of them to fit after the paint job (which is why I masked those off from the bedliner in the first place).

The drag with all the effort I put into the paint is that its matte black, low-gloss black, and black liner, so all the time that went into the fancy paint job is literally invisible. Should look nice with the grey truck and the matte black powder on my rocksliders.

Last piece I'd like to get is a double-tube rear bumper in the style of the stuff they were doing in the 80's (something like the truck in Back to the Future). Might need a 3rd tube or something on the wraparounds to work with the 2nd gen body styling, though.

The latest batch of shackle mounts are now drilled to .890 instead of .880 to better compensate for coatings.

    Can't wait to see it.

Here's mine with a Warn VR10000S. I like how the license plate mostly hides the winch, but I'm going to remount it using Velcro.

It's painted with the reccomended bed liner spray paint.

I also need to still remove the bumper cover again and check everything out, as well as fit those pieces in under the headlights.

So far I'm happy with it, though I've (luckily) not had to use it yet.
