So I know the bumper was finished but I didn't really finish the Jerry can holder. So I spent a little time today making one. It came out pretty decent. Still a few little things I have to add. There will be a couple holes drilled in each side at the top where a pin will slide through underneath the handle and have a lock on it so nobody decides to come up and steel my Jerry can. Also added a license plate mount as well where I will wire in a light to illuminate the plate.

Well I got the Jerry can mounted today and I think it looks pretty good. Gotta grind it smooth and paint and add a pin to it so that I can lock it.

Thanks bro! I really appreciate the kind words. I spend a total of $185 to build the entire thing including the heavy duty spindle for the swing out. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Yeah I need to get back on my Taco, my attention has been on my 4runner and I just got a beat up hard top for my FJ40, been restoring that. Might be time to put some love to the Taco. Rear bumper is a must(need a good place to put my 35'' spare) and I want to build a bed cage like yours but more low profile, Id like to set up a RTT on so the top of the closed RTT is flush with the Tacoma Roof.

Right on bro! Here is what I have going right now. Sold my old bed rack and almost finished with my new low profile rack. The tent will maybe be an inch or 2 higher than the cab.

Looks clean! That’s exactly what I had in mind. Id go a little lower, but need to pick up a RTT first so I know how high I can go. That’s probably the only reason I have not built one yet. $1000+ for a RTT.

That is awesome! First few pic, I thought was simple and ugly (obviously still bare metal) but half way through I started thinking it was awesome looking...now I want one, just like that! Nice work man!!
