Thanks for the info. What about measurement from actual step to door sill?

The vertical step up from the flat of the step to the sill is about 5 inches. If you're referring to the distance between the outside edge of the sill and the inside edge of the step area, it's maybe a half inch.

About to order my set... wish me luck! I want to run LED lights as well for my little guy, any idea where I can tap into to activate when I unlock the truck only? Assuming I need to meet the interior dome light somewhere????

Hey before you buy new, I'm in San Diego and selling my lightly-used set for $250. I have a thread in the for sale section with a couple pics if you're interested.

Regarding your light question, yes, you can tap into the dome light circuit to achieve that lighting effect. Search the 'puddle light' threads for what wire colors and where to find them in the cab.

For reference OEM tubular steps sit around 3 inches from the flat of the step to the door sill (lower side of the door). So this should be around 2 inches lower than the useless OEM tubular steps.

Yes, I used 2 jack stands. They are kinda heavy.

Nice just by chance I had a little wooden table that was the perfect height. I'm going to buy non slip tape and put it on the steps along with some LED lights to light them up. I'm not good with electrical on vehicles so I might pay someone to do it unless anyone on here can give me some suggestions on how to wire 12 volt LED system with each light at 6 watts. I want them tied into my dome light

I'd be interested to see someone install lights on these. Been thinking about it for a while.

I scheduled an appointment to have LEDs installed,I'm indecisive on placement cuz I want to light up the step but unfortunately that would mean the LEDs would have to be exposed. I really wish I could do it myself because it seems so simple but I'm afraid I might burn out my harness

Did you get the kit or are you getting custom LEDs?

Just got them installed. I'll send pics when it's dark. I found lights on Amazon that were 12v 6w

Let me know what you think... I didn't have many spots to mount these lights.
