Stopped at Belleville Toyota today. They still have the two from last October 15:

ACSB OR Auto in Desert Sand (with black shadow chrome grille)
    ACSB Sport MT in BR

... and more are piling in:

    DCLB Sport Auto in BR
ACSB Base Auto in BR 4x4
    ACSB Base Auto in Blue

... and they don't update their website or show their inventory. Imagine that?

Hmm, I think I'm missing your point?

Is it that the 2016's aren't selling or that the dealer is a poor advertiser?

Anywho, Lethbridge Toyota has sold 5 Tacoma's that I know of. That's about average for a month and with +4% percent interest rates and the economy going to hell around here that's about all Toyota can ask for. I imagine as the oilfield gets even worse with the increased taxation and farms have less money due to Bill 6 that truck sales will drop off to almost nothing compared to a year ago around here.

There's a what Colorado LT 4WD AC that's been sitting at my local dealer since June....

I think it's a combination of both factors.

They appear to be selling well here in SK. It was nice for me since I was shopping for a 2012 or newer used Tacoma and a bunch of guys traded in their barely used 2nd gens for the new model. I ended up with a 2014 with less than 25,000km in like new condition and saved about $9,000 by not buying a new 2015 and about $14,000 by not buying a new 2016.

Evan, mind if I ask what you got yours for? Looking at one at the moment at a Lexus dealership that searches for and brings in used Tacoma's. They apparently sold 42 last year.

It's a 2008 with 35,000km (24,000miles) for $25,100. Looks brand new inside and out. Was bought new in the US and immediately driven up here and registered in Penticton, likely driven by a retiree. Same owner just traded it in for a 2016 Tacoma. They had it listed for $25,999 but got them down a bit and going to add on a new canopy from Arrow that they are getting a dealer price on that they will pass along to us at cost.

It's not exact because it involved me trading in my 2010 Tundra but it was approximately $34,000. It's tough to compare prices with a 6 year spread on the trucks age though. You might be better off comparing it to other Tacomas within a year or two of the 2008 with as low mileage as you can find. I doubt you'll find another one with mileage that low though. That one is oddly low.

I'm not saying that Lexus dealership is doing anything fishy, but I generally avoid deals where anything jumps out at me as odd. I like vehicles that have had what I consider to be a normal life. 15K to 20k KM per year with regular maintenance and no special uses like towing or significant hauling. I got my hopes up for a 2014 Pyrite Mica but when I got to the dealership to see it I found the original owner had installed a trailer brake controller. That was a dealbreaker.

In the case of that 2008 I would definitely want to see maintenance records that supported the story of the mileage. Hopefully they got an oil change at least every 6 months and each of those bills would show that only approx 2,200 KM had been driven.

Good point. We've been checking Autotrader for similar year Tacoma's within a 250km radius for the past few months and this is the best deal for the number of KM that we've seen. There's another available down by Vancouver at the moment, same price with 66,000km and a quad cab (this one is an access cab).

We had that same thought about the low km. I am not too suspicious about a roll back because the Okanagan region has a warm dry climate that attracts a lot of retirees that tend to spend most of their time here or down south for the winter. The owner brought it back to Penticton where I can see on the CarProof that it was registered every year since. It does have a tow bar but if they did a lot of RV travel around here (which is very popular) it would show on the km and the general wear.

Definitely will request the maintenance schedule if we go back for a second look. Thanks!

We can't keep Tacoma's in stock, new or pre-owned. Even all our incoming units have been pre-sold up to the end of March so far!

If you are looking for a particular vehicle, please let me know and I will do my best to find it for you!
