Are flares possible on cut fenders?

I have been considering fender flares for my 1st gen DCSB. I think they might look better than the trim I have on there now because they're cut to fit 35s. I like the look of the Bushwacker cut-out style (riveted flares) the most, but I'm not sure they would fit, especially with how short the space is between the fender and the snorkel. What do you guys think? I am open to recommendations.

Only the side mount would work for my truck, as my fenders are cut completely to the sheet metal. I kind of feel like the rubber extensions would look shoddy, especially in comparison to the tight-fitted hard plastic flares. It seems like I may not have any options. I might just put new trim on.

Nice - my guess was Chat Town. I'm in Nashville... but only until Christmas.

Damn, I lived in Old Hickory for a year before I had my Tacoma. I just moved out of my apartment in midtown, and I'm sorta going nomad until I leave after Christmas.

Thanks for sharing this. This may just be a better overall fit for me. I will touch base with him.

Ha, crazy - I lived right on the lake in Old Hickory village, right by the marina where Sam's is.

No shit, that's wild. Why're you moving away from Nashville?

And just to stay on topic, I'd say your best bet is to round out the cuts as much as possible and put some of the black trim on them.

Kinda over the "Nashville vibe" and want to further my career as a film/television lighting technician, plus I would just rather live in the American west I think. We'll see how things go.

And do you mean like the trim Nickel posted about? The cuts are actually more rounded out than it looks in my photos. If you look at this guy's post in that thread, you can see his trim looked the same as mine, falling off and what not.

No no no, what I'm talking about is literally just an edge guard. Makes it look cleaner and keeps you from cutting stuff on it. Tiny little black stuff
