Just purchased my Taco this week ^_^

Unfortunately the person who owned it prior had put some silver pin stripping in. Nothing against it, just not my style.

What should I use to pull off the adhesive? I know 3M has an adhesive remover but will it damage my paint? Are mineral spirits safe? Just soap and water and scrub?

I also want to de-badge all by my Tacoma badges so I need something to use there. When I took off my Ford badges they were so old they came off with no issues. Taco may be the same but the pin stripping may prove more difficult.

Has anyone used the 3M stripe removal wheel? That thing looks like it could go so wrong so fast, but if it's safe to use it seems the easiest.

Of these two adhesive removers (goo gone and goof off), one is clear-coat safe and one is not. Do some searching to determine which is safe. I think it's the goo gone that is safe, but I'm not certain.

For the badges, use fishing line or dental floss. You can warm slightly with a hair dryer if it's stubborn.

The wheel works good, that and goo gone for sure and I think goof off both make an auto specific product. I used it on my taco when it came new with those terrible pinstripes that run the length of both sides of the truck

WD-40 works well for anything left behind. Will also strip any wax off to. So I'd wax it after. Do not use goof off.
