You're welcome to come over and use Spencer's SWR meter, I'm sure he wouldn't mind... I'm not going to be a huge help, because this was my first experience with this type of thing, but we can give it a try

I need to get the truck driving! Lol it's stuck in the garage. My CB is in the dash so it's hard to get to the antenna port

This may sound dumb, but are you set to transmit on the CB switch and not on the PA switch?

Also - does your TX led light up when you press the transmit button?

I run a Yaesu VX-3R handheld with taller/better antenna out of my camelback for dirtbiking. The Baofeng radios hadn't come out yet...I thought I got a good deal for it a few years ago. I'd highly recommend the Baofeng unit for anyone interested in HAM.

I run a Kenwood TM-281A mobile unit in the Tacoma with a magnet mount antenna out the rear window when using it.

I had this too. It ended up being that the sway bar links were loose and had some play.

Interesting.... going out to fiddle with it in about an hour. Keep you all updated (I know, riveting stuff for the 805 thread)

Has anyone here done anything with their headlights, like swap out for better bulbs or a whole new unit? I'm sick of the piss poor throw and yellowish beam, but everything I read it seems there isn't much to be done...
