Anybody have a 3" lift with 285/75/16 (Basically a 33") ? My question is will I have to do any trimming to clear these tires? And I'm putting this on a 2001.

Wrong thread. But you will face slight rubbing but not much.

Gotta trim and pinch weld. Rubs at full lock. Especially down a driveway. Installed 33s yesterday. Not as peppy as before, gas mileage took a hit. But looks awesome.

you will need a little trimming on the from bumper and you will need to smash in/trim the pinch weld. Nothing too major.

Doing a 3 inch OME lift next week, but still need to regear from 3.58's before I even think about 33's. I have 31's now and it kills the mileage and hills are not fun at all.

I have the fn five star rims with 3.52 backspace. Those pro comps should be able to push the tires away from the frame. 4 inch bs is more ideal. But you can always add spacers later.

    04DcTaco, does those 33"s have a width of 10.50 or 12.50?

285/75/16 width is closer to 11. I think if I ran 12.50 I would need serious trimming.

Added a bunch of stuff. Cut to fit 285 AT3’s
I've got 285's on 16x8" with 4" BS and I rub on the frame and used to run all over the pinch weld. A 3# hammer fixed the pinch weld and I'm not too worried about slight rubbing on full stuff full lock.
I do love the look of our trucks on 33's

Screw it, I'll get the gears later. I just ordered 33x12.50x15 BFG T/A KO2s with Pro Comp 15x8 steelies with 3.75" bs. Completed an OME lift with 883 coils in front and the Dakar leaf pack out back a couple days ago. My 31x10.5x15 Michelin LTX M/S tires will be 10 years old this coming year. At least 80k miles on them and they're starting to just plain wear out.

    Tires: http://www.4wheelparts.com/Tires/33...aspx?t_c=13&t_s=536&t_pt=101509&t_pn=BFG37881

    Wheels: http://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/S...px?t_c=11&t_s=535&t_pt=101508&t_pn=PCW51-5883

I'll post pics of everything soon. I already have an All-Pro bumper, so I don't think I will have any issues on the front.

image.jpg Just installed OME lift with 881 and Dakars in rear, may pull out a leaf, but looks great. Minor trimming and flattening the pinch welds. Running Nitto Trail Grapplers 285/65/18 and Fuel Maverick 18x9 -12 offset.

Ordered lift from Wheelers and they had best price and customer service.

Should get all bumpers back from paint and Satoshi grill by 1st.

I just put 285/70/17 Terra Grapplers on mine with the Toytec Boss kit. It rubbed a little bit but luckily the guys at Discount Tire helped out and made the cuts for me. image.jpgimage.jpg

Thanks man, just getting started lol... Btw, the wheels are Mickey Thompson Deegan Pro 4's with -4.5 BS. Anybody know how 1.25 inch spidertrax spacers will effect the rubbing? Will I have to make more cuts?
