Power tailgate using my trunk button on my viper fob

    Yes I have one but I want to separate it from working when I lock or unlock my doors, I wish to use the trunk button to unlock and lock it. That way it's not always locking or unlocking when I us it for my doors.

    yes its possible. you would need to 2 relays use red/white(trunk release) on viper to trigger the relay to unlock the tailgate and white/purple(aux1) to trigger the relay to lock the tailgate.

    So I need two relays and two actuators?

    no just 2 relays connect the relay to the tailgate actuator.

    Thanks mcmkl I did it today with the two relays as the infowe you sent me and it works very well. I used the 3 rd and 4 th channels number 3 channel is for lock and number 4 channel is unlock. Again thanks now I don't unlock and lock every time my doors are

    If you don't mind me asking what model viper do you have and how do you like it? Looking to get one with the "smart start" to use my cell phone to start the truck in the winter before I get back to the shop so it's warm and ready to go.

    I have the Viper modal 5706V and I also start my truck with my iPhone . I like it works very well but not cheap but worth the money.
