Me and my friends ran at 12. We finished in about 2:45. I only skipped the sideways rope wall because I couldn't grip the rope because it was slick. Both my quads cramped up bad right before the swing at the end and I was freezing at that point so I decided not to get wet again haha.

The electric shock crushed me about 2/3rds the way through it my whole right side seized up and I just fell to the ground. The other shocks weren't to bad but that one made me roll out of the thing.

So many hills at that course but I jogged just about the whole thing and walked a bit.

Overall it was fun for our first one but it sure was cold.

Yeah. I got knocked down twice by the electricity. This was just after I watched 2 girls run through unscathed. Which leads me to believe they have real time control over the current.

In June the doctor told me I have type 2 diabetes. My blood glucose tested in the doctor's office around 350. My A1C came back at 13. I decided I didn't want to take medication and I would diet and exercise instead. Four months later I found myself completing the tough mudder, a goal I had set for myself years before.

I've run TM in Seattle, WA 3 times, and Portland, OR once. All 3 times in Seattle, I blew through the shock at the end with no trouble. The one time in Portland, I got 2 steps in, saw the flash in front of me, then I was pulling my face out of the mud without remembering any falling down. Pretty sure there were 2 different horse fence chargers in Portland, and I crossed both at once, while Seattle is a much easier course with less shock
