    I'd probably have bought it over the Tacoma if it had been available and in our price range a few months ago. The Pilot that it's based on is more than capable of towing our sailboat, has more power than our 4cyl Tacoma, AND gets WAY better fuel economy.

    I'd wager that the new ridgeline would be perfect for 60-70% of the people purchasing in the mid size truck market.

And while its front-drive-based, unibody platform may suggest otherwise, Honda says the Ridgeline's towing and payload numbers will be competitive with other midsize trucks.
