I'm in the market for the 16 Taco, and am reaching out to the community to make sure I'm thinking right when it comes to the options (I know much of it comes down to personal preference). Truck will primarily be a road truck, with occasional trail/beach driving for work.

    Looking for the 2016 DCSB TRD O/R A/T $33,730
    Premium Audio (non-JBL) $2,330
    Tow Pkg $650
    Predator Board $580
    $37,300 MSRP

Now, are there any additional options I should be looking at, or not looking at? I plan to get weathertechs F/R, but am still up in the air if I get a trifold cover or a velcro rollup. I'm looking to eventually get bigger wheels/tires/lift which is why I'm looking at the predator board now. I like the nicer entertainment pckg, but don't need the JBL speakers. Is there anything else worth looking at?

I like my roll up cover. There when you need it, and out of the way when you don't. I would recommend you wait on the predator tube steps and get aftermarket ones. What lift/tire combo you looking at getting ?

Factory Blackout package, Soft roll up bed cover, Cheap seat covers, Front and rear dash cam, AVS in channel vent visors
Vent visors. I would also wait on the predators, there are better available aftermarket.

Accessories: SnugTop Rebel canopy AVS Window Rain Deflectors TACOMA 6' Bed Mat Weathertech Mud Guards (4) Scanguage (re-installed from the '02) Tekonsha Voyager Brake controller (Chalet A frame pop-up.) Vinyl letter insets for tailgate. Garmin CS60 GPS mounting. Other misc décor in the form of decals.
One of thee most important accessories I needed are the (WeatherTech) mud guards at all 4 corners. Other importance which I have added are the AVS Rain deflectors, (important), bed mat (important, bed is way slippery), floor mud liners (Toyota put good ones in), vinyl letter insets (Purely cosmetic). Subscribing to the Sirius and Pandora is important to me.
Of dire importance to me by need, is a canopy (Snugtop Rebel.... was set on a ARE, researched myself out of it); and a brake controller for the camp trailer. Strong likeliness Ill be installing rear airbags. Perhaps I'll upgrade the Bilstein shocks from the 4600s to the 5100s when these wear out in 100k miles. Lifted trucks look great, but in MY book, the cons outweigh the pros. That too took a great deal of consternation.
Oh yeah. I had a ScanGuage II in my 02 SR5, so I took it out and reinstalled it in the '16. Personally I get great utility from it.
Of NO importance to me are running board/nerf bars/sliders, though I put a great deal of thought into it.)....., nor will I seek alternate wheels until these start to show corrosion.

My, they are our toys, aren't they.

I thought the premium audio non Jbl was part of the offroad package? As someone earlier stated I wouldn't buy the predators from the dealer. They're overpriced. The only thing I added to my O/R was tint and towing package. That way I could piece the truck together exactly how I wanted.

I would probably have opted for the premium package. Dual Zone climate control would be nice as my two cars before had it. Same with Auto headlights.

I would get almost exactly what I got (TRD OR 6MT P&T), unfortunately the allocation came with two things I specifically didn't want, tonneau and mats. The tonneau (and all tonneaus really, IMO) is a waste of time, money and space. I was planning on aftermarket mats, but the OEM I can live with.

Same here. Wish I had added the tech package. Forgot how nice it was to just set the temp I wanted the cabin at and let the truck keep it there.

I would save yourself 1600 and get the manual tranny. My .02.
