Yes, I have read a few of the existing threads posted discussing the process of installing remote starters, but I still have a few questions that I would greatly appreciated if you more experience fellas could help me with. Thanks in advance like always

I have a 2014 dcsb trd sport that I would like to install a Remote starter preferably looking in to the Viper 4806v. I just want a simple reputable remote starter with basic functions; remote start, lock, and unlock. Im feeling the chilling temps here in PA.

I have installed plenty of head units with dvd, touch screen, and sound systems but never a remote starter system.
I have read due to the security of these newer cars I will need a immobilizer/ transponder due the G chip key correct? Can someone post a the correct immobilizer i would need? I found this datalink ( transponder bypass) http://cdncontent2.idatalink.com/corporate/Content/Manuals/TB-TL5/ADS-AL(TB)-TL5-EN_20150212.pdf

Also I read little about the XKLoader 2nd gen... what exactly does that do? Do i need one?

    PRICING

    Viper 4806v 2way LED remote start $155
    immobilizer...?

    Thanks again guys!

You could of just bought the module and I'm sure a shop would have flashed it for you for free instead of buying the loader. I use Compustar products and pair them with Idatalink modules. I prefer installing Compustar units over Directed products. They always seemed more installer friendly to me. Idatalink bypass solutions to me are the best in the business. One thing for sure they have some of the best installer support and a lot of direct engineer support. Amazing company.

I will say Directed makes good products and their remote starts are pretty much bullet proof. I don't really have anything bad to say about them other than I don't care much for installing them. Their wiring database is the best in the industry

I'm only familiar with our compustar systems, but the loader is what links your PC with the Bypass module, telling it what system it will bypass and how it will do it.

The Toyota G key system is pretty straight forward, and you have no demands of the BCM except for lights, horn and door locks. Just follow the instructions carefully, and make good solders.

I bought the programmer just incase i could not find a shop to flash the module. I an not so familiar with all the new technology such as idatalink compared to all the old school products. i saw a guy use to sell T harness for tacomas but are now no longer available to purchase... so back to the good old splice and solder
