Yeah, I like the looks. That makes sense. Much better looking than a bull bar.

I don't know how much protection you'd get from that but, it's got a nice clean look to it.

He uses the same tubing on his sliders that I know first hand are strong it's not thin like a bull bar is I'm sure they can take a hit.

I had a woman back up into my Avid bar without any issues. Jokes on her with the crease on her bumper

Very pleased with avid bar within 3 months hit a deer with it and it didnt bend outta whack. Very surprised with the integrity . IMG_20160124_081004_zpsvx4pouei_0d54750510ca5880b7a0b2aed082dfb6b67d978c.jpg

Would any of you guys who have one of these mind taking a measurement for me?

I need to know how far out away from the bumper the top tube sticks out.
So, from the bumper to the outside of the top tube.

I have a Mobtown Off-road front reciever hitch. I just need to be sure the avid bar won't interfere with my winch/cradle.

I trimmed the tube on my cradle so the winch would sit closer tho the bumper. It stuck out way to far. Might've made it to close to use one of these bars though...

Also, how does it mount? I'm putting RCI skids on. Wondering if it'll interfere with the IFS skid?

    Well, so much for that...

It won't work with my winch cradle anyway. It sticks out too far from he bumper and would hit the cradle. AND, the Avid bar bolts in on the same spot as the Mobtown recovery bar.

Thanks to you and your Dad again HB

I was driving home from Cleveland on US71 a few weeks ago and a foot-long chunk of metal bounced out of a truck several hundred yards ahead of me. We were all going 75ish and I had no where to go so I braced for impact. It sounded like someone hit a water main with a big ball-peen hammer. Rang like a bell, then the thing went under my truck where the BudBuilts took care of getting it safely out the back. The impact took of a 1"x2" patch off the powdercoat, but the Avid tubing wasn't even scratched. I roughed the area up with some sandpaper and hit it with Rustoleum. The paint repair shows if you know where to look, but the bar laughed the impact off. I consider this proof of concept.

Edit: Forgot to mention that the license plate frame got destroyed too, but there was no other damage to the truck. I used to hate front plates...
