What a waste of time running around this morning trying to get hardware for my CO2 tank mount..the quick fists are not even big enough to support the 8" diameter of the tank  back to the drawing board:

I could pick up a mount from Powertank if I wanted to blow $120, but since this is a DIY, on the cheap project, I will have to keep looking.

    http://www.powertank.com/products/sfID1/17/listPage/3/productID/142

This was another option; quick, simple and should hold?

    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003TU0DWI...TF8&colid=3KHAQX9IB1B5X&coliid=I1D7O6XQ7Y7XTS

    Then I ran into these:

    http://www.globalindustrial.com/p/s...wall-bracket-8w-x-4d-x-2h-1-cylinder-capacity

    http://www.usasafety.com/large-bottle-gas-cylinder-wall-bracket-1-cylinder-p-216.html

NOT too sure what they mean by "large bottle" for the second link and I would really like to no spend the extra $40 for the large bottle capacity. I was looking online and I wasn't able to find the spectrum for small, medium and large capacity CO2 tanks. When I think "large bottle" I think about one of these fuckers:

Thoughts? Would like to bounce a few of these ideas off of @iJonny

Seems like a better, viable option! Thanks! I reached out to Dan this morning to see if the 20 lb will hold a 8" diameter tank.

    Ordered!!

Wheeler's confirmed that my tank diameter will not be an issue for this mount. Going to have to figure out if I can mount this where I want to mount it :notsure: but I won't know that until I receive it. Thanks again!

Also pick up one of these Saturday:

Will do man! I agree looks like it should hold it well. Going to be buying it in a couple weeks I feel. Want to have all my accessories ready to go when the trucks back.

Should be good. I'm excited to get it and use it. I actually came across this casually browsing Instagram Saturday morning. Thank god I only have one d-ring mount and the cost isn't too bad..four would suck :pout:

Once I get the d ring shackle lock, I'll finally key and install my BOLT lock for the hitch receiver..been waiting since Christmas to install that. I just want to make sure it fits and the pin is the right size i.e. Too narrow or not long enough. With the weather getting better and not -12* everyday, I should be able to get cracking on at least the smaller items.

If anyone wants my larger quick fists, let me know and I'll send them out. Hint hint, I'd do a trade for patches :anonymous: :boink:

Well my tank mount from Wheeler's came in today :woot:

    9dcf34c05c953a475f40081a09c69adc_11f8b32b4db48eae5bda6013498de12d34cb4bf0.jpg

    Fits like a glove!

    942b43eae3e6f274b2e81e974043a8d8_c396d35ff4421d97047f69a0899116e8c2d2c87b.jpg

With that in hand and the weather looking up this weekend (45-50* Saturday and Sunday) the agenda is as follows:

    1. Rotate tars
    2. Mount Mobtown OffRoad tailgate reinforcement plate and tailgate cap (should be decent weather for foam tape to stick) :fingerscrossed:
    3. Start fabbing up a mount solution for the CO2 mount

Waiting on my locking shackle pin to come in..heard from Brad today stating there was a mix up and they sent me 4?

    a6cf9e19f530a5d7f0b44360c7b4fd49_7982a37630f7e1a74dcbe35fb7305bb64e6c19e8.jpg

If that arrives, I will install that and my BOLT receiver lock from Christmas. Should be a good weekend outside wrenching on Caitlyn..especially since I'm being forced to a baby shower on Sunday..need to do manly things to offset said baby shower :pout:
