I've never even used the one behind the passenger seat.

I took mine out. It's only purpose in life is to hold a carseat.

Took mine out as well. Used the location to add Quick Clamps and a hand axe/flashlight/entrenching tool as needed.

I've been thinking of doing the same. There appears to be mounting holes in the same area behind the drivers seat as the passenger area where the coffee table (that's what I call it) comes standard with the truck. I put a piece of plywood on mine and a cushion for a rear passenger to sit sideways and be a little more comfortable. I also put my 12 volt fridge on the plywood as well. I'd like to have the option of putting the fridge on either side.

I think $50 is pretty steep for that thing. We have a Toyota junk yard/shop in the SF Bay area called Toy Connection that more than likely has one. They're prices are extremely reasonable. However, I'm not sure if they'll ship anything.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, the main reason I'm asking is to have another one to install for a car seat just to make it safer. I agree about the price being too steep. I'm not able to find one much lower than that price unless you guys know of where I could get one? It would be great to have for my two kids.

Is the bolt pattern the same on both sides? Will the passenger side transfer to the driver side? Might be a few in here that would just give you one.

Sorry tntacomaguy I didn't notice your post for some reason. I looked at the other side and it doesn't look/feel the same as to the original side to how it would connect.
